Import History Delete Fails with Error 40002 [S1000]

SYMPTOMS

If you delete an imported log from the Import History, you may receive the following error message:

40002 [S1000] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Connection is busy with results for another hstmt.

CAUSE

Certain ODBC driver versions are confused by the operations performed on a single database handle during the request deletion process.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Site Server version 3.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. service pack for Microsoft Site Server version 3.0.
