SYMPTOMS

When you click the Purchase button in the Final Purchase Approval stage, you receive an error in the browser similar to the following:

error '8004e00f'

CAUSE

The MSDTC service is not started.


WORKAROUND

Start the MSDTC service.

  1. From a command prompt, type "net start msdtc" (without the quotation marks), and the press the Enter key.


  2. Close the command prompt.



It is recommended that you set the MSDTC service to start automatically.

The Final Purchase Approval stage is transacted. Transactions require that the MSDTC service is started.
