PBS Import of Region File Fails If Region Name Contains Apostrophe

SYMPTOMS

When you use PBAdmin to import a file that contains a name that contains an apostrophe, the import fails and the following error message appears:

An error has occurred during command line processing. See import.log in the application directory for details.
The Import log states something like the following:

   4/3/98 3:14:39 PM, Ipass, An unspecified error occurred on import. -
   Ipass; Region ID = 1 


WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, remove the apostrophe from the region name.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the following fix or wait for the next service pack.

This fix should have the following time stamp:

PBADMIN.EXE version 1.00.0600 dated April 27, 1998 6:46:18 PM


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System, version 1.0 Service Pack 2.

A supported fix is now available, but it has not been fully regression- tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
