Report Writer Returns Incorrect Results with Measure Average as a Dimension

SYMPTOMS

When you apply a filter that contains a measure average as a dimension, Report Writer may return incorrect results.


CAUSE

Not all of the proper items are included in the Select statement when a measure average is used as a dimension.


RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Site Server service pack.
