BUG: Close Connection After sp_certify_removable Generates Warning

SYMPTOMS

After executing the sp_certify_removable system stored procedure from ISQL/w or ISQL, if the connection is closed, the following error message will be logged to the SQL Server error log:

WARNING: Process being freed while holding Dataserver semaphore


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 6.5.


MORE INFORMATION

No action is required. This error message can safely be ignored.
