SMS: Event to Trap Translator May Stop SNMP Service on NT 3.51

SYMPTOMS

If you configure the Event to Trap Translator to trap events on a Windows NT version 3.51 computer, the SNMP Service on that computer may stop after approximately 5 minutes.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 1.2. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. service pack for Systems Management Server version 1.2.
