MORE INFORMATION

When exporting Microsoft Access tables to FoxPro free tables, the destination folder should be the same directory that contains the source .mdb file.

How to Manually Install the Hotfix

  1. Close all applications or services that are known or suspected to be using Vfpodbc.dll.

  2. Download the self-extracting executable Vfpodbc.exe containing the hotfixed Vfpodbc.dll into a temporary directory and double-click it to extract the hotfix files.

  3. Locate the current Visual FoxPro ODBC driver (Vfpodbc.dll) and rename it. This file should exist in the Winnt\System32 folder or the Windows\System folder.

  4. Copy the hotfix version of the Visual FoxPro ODBC driver into that same directory (that is, the Winnt\System32 folder or the Windows\System folder, depending on where your original version of the Visual FoxPro ODBC driver was).

Important Notice for Microsoft Windows 95/98 Users!

If you are installing this fix onto a computer running Windows 95 or a computer running the original release of Windows 98, you will need to install the Windows 98 Migration DLL included with this fix.

Before installing, please carefully read the Migrate_qfe.txt file that is included with the download, and follow the instructions if they apply to your platform.
