XFOR: Migration Wizard Crashes When Migrating Schedule Information from a Notes Client with a Blank End Date

SYMPTOMS

When you migrate calendar information from a Lotus Notes database, the Migration Wizard will stop responding (crash) if it encounters a calendar appointment with a blank end date.


CAUSE

This problem can occur if Lotus Notes 4.5 or earlier is used to convert an appointment to a reminder. The conversion process leaves the end date blank.


RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5 service pack that contains this fix.
