MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft has signed a letter of intent to embed the Citrix ICA distribut- ed Windows presentation protocol in upcoming releases of Windows 95, Windows NT, and Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows. The inclusion of Citrix ICA client software will enable users of Microsoft Windows products to access existing and future Windows programs over the public Internet and corporate Intranets without downloading client program software.

The Citrix ICA client is a plug-in for Microsoft Internet Explorer 2.0 and later, which allows a client computer to run 16-bit or 32-bit Windows- based programs using a remote Windows NT server computer's processor and memory over the Internet or corporate intranets.

In short, Citrix clients receive Windows graphic application programming interface (API) calls and display the information on the screen, so that you can run the program very effectively over a slow link such as a modem line.
