NOTE: You must have Microsoft Project 98 to order Microsoft Project 98 SR-1. When ordering, you will need your Product Identification Number (PID). On the Help menu, click About Microsoft Project to find the PID.

You can order SR-1 in either of the following ways:

Installing SR-1

To install SR-1, follow these steps:

NOTE: Steps 1-3 are optional but recommended, steps 4 and 5 are required.

  1. Insert your original Microsoft Project compact disc or Disk 1 into the drive.


  2. Double-click Setup.exe to start Setup.


  3. Click Remove All to remove the original installation of Microsoft Project.


  4. Insert your Microsoft Project 98 SR-1 compact disc or Disk 1 into the drive.


  5. Run Setup.exe from the CD or Disk 1 and choose the appropriate installation type.


Administrative Installations

To update an administrative installation, you must create a new installation point for SR-1. For Administrative installation for SR-1, use the /a switch when using the Setup command, for example: 


   Setup.exe /a
