PRJ98: Need Team Manager SR-1 to Get Timephased Workgroup Data

SUMMARY

To properly use Microsoft Project 98 with Microsoft Team Manager 97, you must use the Microsoft Team Manager 97 Service Release 1 (SR-1). Versions of Team Manager 97 earlier than SR-1 do not include timephased data in workgroup messages. This problem was corrected in Team Manager 97 SR-1.

When a project manager has tasks for people on your team, he or she can send those tasks directly to you. The tasks you accept are added to your team file, so that you can assign them to team members.

NOTE: If the Assistant is hidden, click the Office Assistant button on the Standard toolbar. If Microsoft Project Help is not installed on your computer, follow these steps:

  1. Close all programs.


  2. On the Windows Start menu, point to Settings and then click Control Panel.


  3. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.


  4. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Project 98 in the list of programs, and then click Add/Remove.


  5. Follow the directions provided in the Setup dialog boxes.


NOTE: If you originally installed Microsoft Project from a network file server or from a shared folder, run that copy of the Setup program.
