PRJ98: Incorrect Resource Work Value After Undo Deleting Task

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, the Work field for a resource in a resource view may display an incorrect value.


CAUSE

This behavior may occur when you do the following:

  1. You assign multiple resources to a task.


  2. You delete that task.


  3. You undo the deletion of the task.



WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, edit the Work value for the resource. This will cause the total work for the resource to recalculate.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, Service Release 1 (SR-1).
