PRJ98: Columns Overlap When HTML Viewed in Netscape Navigator

SYMPTOMS

In Netscape Navigator, when viewing an HTML document created in Microsoft Project 98, text in columns may overflow into adjacent columns.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when all of the following conditions are true:

• You include date fields in the information saved to HTML.



• The width of dates in date fields is wider than the field title (column heading).



• The number of fields saved in the HTML file exceeds the width of the browser window.



• You are viewing the HTML document in Netscape Navigator.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

To correct this problem, install Microsoft Project 98 for Windows Service Release 1 (SR-1).
