PRB: Link Errors when Building Exchange SDK Samples

The information in this article applies to:

• Exchange Development Kit (EDK), version 5.5

SYMPTOMS

When building the samples, the build may fail with linker errors that reference older versions of run-time or MFC libraries.

CAUSE

The Exchange SDK library (ExchSDKd.lib or ExchSDK.lib) may have been built with an older version of the compiler and run-times.

RESOLUTION

You can rebuild the Exchange SDK library using the same version of the compiler you are using.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
