Half Duplex Net Cards Cause Station Manager to Return Error

SYMPTOMS

Under stress or high load conditions, the Station Manager may return a "0xc00d0006" error when attempting to open a stream.


CAUSE

This problem may occur on computers with 100Mbps Ethernet adapters configured for half duplex.


WORKAROUND

Configure the card for full duplex and try again. For more information on configuring your card for full duplex, contact your hardware vendor.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Server NetShow 3.0 Services.
