SYMPTOMS

In the Windows Media Encoder, the Script Command window is only shown if you choose custom settings.


CAUSE

None of the QuickStart templates use script commands, therefore the Script Command window is not shown after you select one of these templates.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, when you run the configuration wizard, select Custom Settings and click the Script Commands check box to enable it.
