ACC2000: General Number Format Ignores Decimal Number Setting

SYMPTOMS

When you place a decimal number in the DecimalPlaces property setting, it appears to have no effect when the Format property is set to General.

When you add a text box control that is bound to a Numeric field to a form or report, if you do not set the control's Format property or set it to General Number, the DecimalPlaces property setting will have no effect. This is because the General Number format displays only the number of decimal places necessary for each value. Also, having no format specified defaults to the behavior of the General Number format.
