SYMPTOMS

If you run the Setup program from the original medium (disks or shared network folder) to reinstall a Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition Tools run-time application that is already set up on your computer, you may receive the following error message at the end of Setup:

  3. In the Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box, click the Install/Uninstall tab and select your run-time application in the window.

  4. Click the Add/Remove button in the Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box.

  5. When the Setup maintenance program starts, click Reinstall.

Method 2: Microsoft Windows NT 3.51

  1. Open the program group for your run-time application.

  2. Double-click the Setup icon.

  3. When the Setup program starts, click Reinstall.
