FP2000: Errors When You Apply Style Sheet Links

SYMPTOMS

After you apply more than one style sheet to all pages in a web, or apply the same style sheet more than once to the web, you may receive the following error message:

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\FRONTPG.EXE

R6025
- pure virtual function call

After you click OK, FrontPage quits.

-OR -

You receive the following error message:

System exception: access violation
When you try to open a page or change views after you click OK, FrontPage fails.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.


MORE INFORMATION

This is a known issue with applying style sheets to the entire web.

Workaround

To workaround this issue, use the following method:
  1. In FrontPage, after applying your first Style Sheet Link to all pages, press the F5 key.


  2. Apply your second Style Sheet Link.


  3. Press the F5 key again.


This method will refresh the view and update the necessary information in FrontPage.
