This article describes how to install the Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions to the Microsoft Personal Web Server on a computer running Windows 95. This article assumes that both FrontPage and the Personal Web Server have been installed correctly.

To install the FrontPage Server Extensions, follow these steps:

  1. In Windows Explorer, double-click the fpmmc.msc file located at the following hard drive location:

    \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\40\bin


  2. On the Console menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.


  3. In the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog box, click Add.


  4. In the Available Standalone Snap-ins window, click FrontPage Server Extensions.


  5. Click OK.


  6. Click OK again.


  7. In the Console tree, right-click the web server you want to apply the extensions to.


  8. On the shortcut menu, point to New, and then click Web.


  9. Answer the questions in each screen of the Server Extensions Configuration Wizard.



  10. Click Finish.
