OFF2000: Add or Remove Buttons Unavailable For Custom Toolbar

SYMPTOMS

In any Office program, when you click More Buttons on a toolbar, Add or Remove Buttons will be unavailable.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when you click the More Buttons list of a custom toolbar that is docked so that not all of the toobar buttons show. The Add or Remove Buttons list only apply to toolbars that are included with Office, and will only be available for those toolbars.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
