SYMPTOMS

When you insert clipart into Microsoft Publisher, you may recieve the following message:

The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.

If you click Cancel, you recieve the following error message:
Clip Art Not Available.

The Clip Gallery is not installed. Please run Setup again to install the Clip Gallery. For more information on running Setup, press F1.
If you attempt to insert clipart in Microsoft Word, you will recieve the following error message:
Microsoft Word can't display clip art. This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?
You will recieve similar error messages in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel. Until you insert the Microsoft Publisher 2000 Deluxe Disc 2, Clip Gallery will not function properly.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when Microsoft Publisher 2000 Deluxe Disc 2 is installed, and the application is set to run entirely from the CD-ROM. The settings for a file called Cagcat50.mmc are changed to point to the CD-ROM drive. Clip Gallery will not start unless it can access this file.
