OFF2000: Clipboard ScreenTip Text Not Displayed in Expected Font

SYMPTOMS

When you rest the pointer over a button on the Office Clipboard toolbar, the text displayed in the ScreenTip is in a font other than the font you used to format the text. When you paste the text, it is pasted correctly. Note that some characters may appear as boxes in the ScreenTip. However, when you paste the text it is pasted in the correct font.


CAUSE

The text you see when you rest the pointer over the Office Clipboard icon is formatted using the system font rather than the font applied to the text in the document, presentation, or worksheet.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
