OFF2000: Disk Space Requirements Are Not Recalculated After Selecting Alternate Installation Location

SYMPTOMS

When performing a custom installation of one of the products listed above, the Available space on local hard disks list does not display the correct hard disk space information.

CAUSE

This problem will occur when you manually type a path in the Install <product >at box, rather than clicking the Browse button.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, first click the Nextbutton in the Installation Location dialog box, and then click the Back button. This will force Office to update the Available space on local hard disks list.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
