ERROR MESSAGE

You may receive the following error message:

<Application name> cannot install the files it needs because the installer is busy. Please try again later. Can't install, installer is busy

where <Application name> is the program that you are installing.

CAUSE

This error message occurs when a program is using the files necessary for the installation to complete.

WHAT TO TRY

Check the Task List

Check the Task List for any programs that are marked as "not responding." To check for these tasks in Microsoft Windows 95 or later, press CTRL+ALT+DEL. To check for these tasks in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 press CTRL+ALT+DEL and click Task Manager. If any tasks are found to be "not responding," select the program in the list and click End Task. You may need to restart the computer before restarting the installation.
