ERROR MESSAGE

When you use Microsoft Office or one of its family products, you may receive the following error message:

No component manager is registered.

CAUSE

The Office installation is damaged.


WHAT TO TRY

The Office Installation Is Damaged.

To reinstall Office, follow these steps:
  1. Insert the Office product compact disc in the CD-ROM drive.


  2. On the Windows Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.


  3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.


  4. Click to select the Office program in the list of available programs, and then click Add/Remove.


  5. In the Maintenance Mode dialog box, click Repair Office.


  6. In the Reinstall/Repair dialog box, click Reinstall Office, and then click Finish.


  7. Click OK to the message that setup was completed successfully.


  8. Now you can successfully use Office.
