OFF2000: Web Components May Not Function Properly in Netscape Navigator with the NCompass ScriptActive Plugin

SYMPTOMS

When you open a Web page that contains a Microsoft Office Web Component, you may encounter one or more problems similar to the following:

• The control may not be visible in the Web page.



• The control may appear to function normally, but some features will not function, or they will function erratically.



• Two Web Components that should work together such as the Office Chart Component and the Office Spreadsheet Component, will not work together.

CAUSE

These problems may occur if you open your Web page in Netscape Navigator with the NCompass ScriptActive plugin.

To use the Office Web Components on your Web pages, you must use Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or later. The Office Web Components have not been tested for use in third-party Web browsers.
