OFF97: Utility to Completely Remove Remaining Office 97 Files and Registry Entries

SUMMARY

A utility that helps you completely remove Office is available. The Office 97 File and Registry Eraser Utility removes most of the files and Windows registry settings that remain on the computer after you remove Office. This utility is designed to be run after you run the Setup program for Office and click Remove All to remove Office.

NOTE: If there are no other programs installed in your Microsoft Office folder (Microsoft Publisher 98, for example), make sure you delete the Microsoft Office folder from your Program Files folder before you run the Office 97 File and Registry Eraser Utility. The Microsoft Office folder and Office fonts are not removed with this utility.

Microsoft does not recommend running the Office 97 File and Registry Eraser Utility on a computer where Office 2000 has been installed. This utility is not designed for use with Office 2000.
