OL98: (IMO) No Menu Item for New Fax to Contact in Actions Menu

NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Internet Mail Only option. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Internet Mail Only" if you have the Internet Mail Only option installed.

SYMPTOMS

When you are in the Contacts folder, there is no option for "New Fax to Contact" in the Actions menu.


RESOLUTION

To send a fax to a contact when in the Contacts folder, follow these steps:

  1. Click to select the contact you want to send a fax to.


  2. On the Actions menu, click "New Message to Contact."


  3. When you are finished with your message, on the File menu, point to Send Using, and then click Symantec Winfax Starter Edition.



STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
